Annual Report 2006 |
As reported by Member
Libraries on their 2006 Annual Reports
Notes
- The information in this report
reflects conditions and activities in the calendar year 2006 for most libraries.
[Statistics for school district public libraries are based on a fiscal year
(school calendar) of July 2005 through June 2006.]
- Chartered population figures
are based on the 2000 Census.
- Per capita statistics are based
upon each library's chartered population. In some instances this does not
reflect the actual populations served, skewing the per capita figure. Check
with your library to verify the figure.
- Four libraries have Correctional
Facility Populations (Census 2000) included in their chartered population
totals, which affects their per capita figures. These are: Beekman Library,
Howland Public Library in Beacon, Heermance Memorial Library in Coxsackie,
and Hudson Area Association Library.
- Some libraries receive in-kind
services in addition to their monetary receipts. The value of these services
is reflected in the "In-Kind Services" section of this report.
