Resource Sharing & Millennium
New P TYPE Drop Down Menu: With the implementation of Web Access Management (WAM) as the new patron authentication interface for HOMEACCESS patron entry field P TYPE in Millennium will have a new drop down menu. Staff should choose the patron’s home library from the drop down menu. The change in this field will help your library get database usage statistics local to your library!
Trustee Resources
The Winter 2007 issue of the MHLS newsletter for trustees, Across the Board, was sent out to all member library trustees in December. The focus of this issue is Personnel Policies. Probably your #1 internal policy, this issue explains the components of a personnel policy – what should be included, issues to be considered, how what you put in your personnel policy supports your director’s management of staff – and provides references to samples on the MHLS web site: http://midhudson.org then Trustee Resources then MHLS Support then Across the Board.
