Consider including an "Ask the Expert" feature to your website and/or newsletter. This is a great way to get people to continually visit your website or eagerly await the next issue of your newsletter.

Here's how it might work:

  • Have a person knowledgeable about a particular topic share information and respond to people's questions. You could reach new audiences by changing the topic and expert monthly.
  • Find experts among your patrons, board members, program presenters, community groups etc.
  • Identify topics to address based on patron feedback, popular books, topics or trends in the news, reference questions etc.
  • Provide a little bio of the person along with a plug for their business/organization.

This is a nice way to encourage repeat visits to your website or loyal readers of your newsletter.
