"Free" to residents of Putnam County. These resources have information you cannot acccess through a normal Internet search, in fact, they are part of the "invisible web," available only to patrons of libraries where access has been purchased for them. 

Funds to purchase these resources came to libraries through Putnam County Government , New York State Government & the New York State Library's NOVELny program.

NOVELny connects New Yorkers to 21st century information and is supported with temporary federal Library Services and Technology Act funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The New York Library Initiative is a proposal for permanent state funding for NOVELny.
