MHLS Delivery Service
The Shipping & Receiving Department of the Mid-Hudson Library System is responsible for the delivery and pick-up of library materials being shared throughout the System between member libraries in the five-county region served.
On July 1, 2009 Mid-Hudson Library System contracted with Hudson River Transports to provide delivery to Mid-Hudson Library System member libraries. Delivery is provided Monday through Saturday, except major holidays, and member libraries receive delivery one to seventeen times per week. Over 4000 miles are driven per week with an average of 800 boxes being delivered and picked up and over 5000 items are being sorted daily.
Five routes for the region served are established with most delivery and pick-up occurring between 4:00am and 12pm. Please be aware that routes and times are subject to change.
Member library responsibilities as well as answers to some frequently asked questions are listed on the left. If you have any other questions, please contact Tom Finnigan (x244) or Chris Herron (x247).
