Create
Your Own Bookmark |
If you would like
to create a bookmark with your own list of titles or authors, all you need is
a word processing program.
Below you will find directions
on how to create a one-sided or two-sided bookmark using Microsoft Word.
These instructions will allow you to create three copies of a personalized bookmark
that you can print, copy, cut and distribute.
General Instructions

1. Open a new Word Document
2. Change the Page Setup to Landscape ?
3. Add three columns to the page ?
4. Input your book, author, or title and author list into the first column ?
5. Format as desired but make sure that you are only using the first column
?
You can add your library name, hours, contact information or even a program
name that this bookmark would help promote. Personalize as much as possible.
A printed date is always helpful.
6. Add clip art as desired and format the bookmark so all data and images are
in the first column ?
7. Once you have completed
the bookmark highlight the entire first column and copy and paste it into the
second and third columns. ?
This will give you three copies
of the same bookmark
8. Print, Copy, Cut and Distribute.
Two-Sided Bookmarks
-If you want to make a two-sided bookmark, open a new document and use the instructions
above to make the back of the bookmark.
-Create a double-sided document by running the two documents through a copier.
-You now have three double-sided bookmarks that just need to be cut.
