- Revisit rules for local & regional Battles
- Brainstorm potential sponsors

- Deadline for libraries to commit to participation
- Finish selecting questions
- Sponsor committee send out letters to potential funders
January 2008
- Decide date for regional Battle
- Begin checking potential venues for regional Battle
- Finalize title selections, if not done in December
- Assign titles to question committee people
- Discuss authors to invite, who will host visits
- Begin writing questions; review standards for writing
February
- Review pr pieces from 2007; revise as needed; determine quantities
- Review scoreboard possibilities
- Consider various options for speeding up competition
- Discuss author visit options
March - May
- Meet as needed to address issues
- Begin recruiting local team members
- Publicize project at local level
- Plan regional Battles to give teams more opportunity to compete
- Print publicity materials
June - August
- Hold local Battles & select team for regional competition
- Meet to finalize regional BOB competition
- Hold preliminary competitions, if necessary
