What happens if you fall short of your fundraising goal?

"You won't because you will have done sufficient research beforehand to figure out what you can actually achieve. You should not be going to your community without setting a campaign goal which has involved lots of research. You can want any amount of money, but realistically you may not be able to get there.

You could, for some unforeseen reason, have something terrible happen: a drastic shift in the economy, the entire board resigning, etc., etc. Without something like that happening, you should not come up short, if you have done your research and work ahead of time."
