Fundraiser - Buy-A-Brick Campaign
One thing that works very well is a buy-a-brick campaign. There are lots of brick companies around. You will find them in fundraising magazines or newspapers.I spoke at the Millbrook Business Association last Monday and we talked about bricks. There was a choice of $250 4x8 bricks with the donor's name and three lines of text. (They cost $300 if you chose to pay over three years with your VISA or MasterCard. Please, all go out there and convince your local banks that you are worthy of accepting credit cards. It's terribly important, it will increase your annual giving by 10-15%, maybe even more. One must make it easy for people to give.) We also had bricks with corporate rates, 8x8 for the special price of $1,000. Businesses were able to put their logos on them. I'm sure you all have walkways in front of your libraries where you can do bricks. It works very, very well!
