PART 5: GET
OUT THE VOTE [Download
and complete Part 5 of the template]
Identify what you will do to get people
out to vote. This is an incredibly important piece of the campaign, which can
make or break your success. It is important to do everything possible to mobilize
your supporters.
ACTION STEPS FOR LIBRARIES:
|
"You
have to make your supporters realize that every vote counts. In Hudson,
we lost by only two votes.
We would have won if just a few more people came out to vote for us. Several people said that they would have voted for the library, if they had realized that their vote would have made the difference." Janet Schnitzer, Past President of the Hudson Area Association Library |
This Campaign
Planning Guide is part of the Getting to Yes grant project. Getting
to Yes is funded by Federal Library Services and Technology Act funds,
awarded to the New York State Library by the Federal Institute of Museum and
Library Services.
