Continuing Education / Professional Development Advisory Committee Mission Statement

Note:The mission is a formal statement of how the committee should go about realizing its shared vision.

The mission of the MHLS Continuing Education / Professional Development Advisory Committee is to oversee the creation and promotion of methods of professional development for library staff and trustees, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide quality library service to their communities.

Suggested Activities:

• Assess CE/professional development needs of members, and recommend resources that meet those needs
• Assist in planning and review of workshops
• Ensure the ability of member libraries to benefit from regional and statewide resources
• Review and facilitate the resolution of shared concerns
