Marketing Advisory Committee Mission Statement

Note:The mission is a formal statement of how the committee should go about realizing its shared vision.

The mission of the MHLS Marketing Advisory Committee is to help guide the development of strategies and tools to strengthen member libraries' ability to cultivate support amongst users and nonusers.

Suggested Activities:

• Assess System-wide marketing and publicity needs of members, and recommend resources to help libraries enhance/build public recognition and support.
• Assist member libraries in building an internal marketing culture with the goal of turning users into supporters.
• Address promotion and user experience/user-friendliness issues related to products purchased and/or promoted as a collective (the online catalogs, databases, downloadable audiobooks, summer reading program, etc.)
