Getting Started / Account Tips

• Account is Free
  • A NetLibrary account is free for library patrons from participating MHLS libraries. The NetLibrary web site provides access to the downloadable audiobook collection the library has purchased and made available for our library patrons to use.
  • Your library card barcode number provides access to this service, making you eligible to download over 1000 audiobooks.
  • You must have a valid MHLS library card from a participating library and you must create a free account in NetLibrary.
• Creating a Free NetLibrary Account
  • First time users must create an account in NetLibrary:
  1. On the library homepage you will see this image
     or the link which says Search Downloadable Audiobooks. Click on it, then type in your library barcode number to be authenticated. Click login or submit. You will then proceed to NetLibrary.
  2. In the upper right-hand corner of the NetLibrary page, click on 'Create a Free Account'.
  3. Create a user name and password.

  • The Athens Users link is not for patrons from the MHLS library in Athens. This link refers to libraries and users in the United Kingdom (UK).
