Outreach to Spanish speakers

Traditionally when we design library services we ask people “What can the library do for you?”, “How can we serve you better?”, “What kind of materials should we provide?”, but to someone who has different understanding of libraries this can be confusing – how do they know what the possibilities are? You can get excellent information about the needs of the Spanish speaking members of your community by asking community leaders about community problems, needs, barriers, events, and opportunities.
