Coffee Can of Probability Books

Ø      Put in can a list of great award winning books from which tweens and teens can pick. After they read the book, they come and talk to someone in the library about it. When they have done this, the library puts their name in the can and there is a winner chosen weekly, monthly, whatever time frame you choose.

Ø      Prizes can be gift certificates from local businesses, new books you purchase or be creative.

Ø      You could also use a different them than the coffee can and cut out some appropriate die shapes to have the kids post their name and the name of the book they wrote.

Ø      The list of books can be obtained from the Teen Program Notebook found in the MHLS Professional Collection.
