We Got Caught Reading Together

• Families register for program
• Create Bingo card for logging activities, which might include:
• Child read aloud to adult 2 times
• Adult read aloud to child 2 times
• Family members read silently together 5 times
• Visited library & each person borrowed a book (put this in more than one square)
• Visited the library & chose book to read together aloud (put this in more than one square)
• Listened to audio book while traveling in car
• Borrowed book from library on place they would like to visit
• Found book at library on project/craft they will do together
• Read book from library on pet they already own or wish they could have
• Read book from library on sport kids like
• Read book from library on local history place
• Read book from library on something family can do together (hike or bike locally, visit historical place, cook, garden, take pictures
• Write or send email to relative, friend
• Talk about which book was your favorite of those read over summer & why

· Awarding prizes

o Give family prize when finish 4 corners, one row and/or whole card

o Enter all families in grand prize drawing (get passes from local family fun places, movie theater, restaurants, book or music store certificate, etc.)

· Ask families to take picture of themselves reading and make display at the library with sign, “We Got Caught Reading Together”.
