- Open House - to show homeschooling families library's databases, microfilm, other research tools
- Library Skills Class
- For parents and kids (adapt to age of audience)
- Teach Dewey, difference between fiction/nonfiction, how to assess credibility of web resources, show databases
- Make class collaborative - older kids helping younger in finding things
- Book Groups
- Same varieties as for other patrons
- Group members choose books
- Parents take over organizing group after library staff set it up
- College preparation and application
- Curriculum swap - Homeschooling families bring in curriculum no longer needed and swap with others
- Display homeschoolers' projects - great way to make connection with homeschoolers; no public space for their work
- Fairs - science, biology, history, art (Work with homeschool families to set up fair months ahead so students can create projects to display)
- Offer library space for homeschool sessions/meetings of hs groups
- Speakers on topics of interest to homeschool families
