Advocacy Day Briefing: Friday, February 16th from 10:00 – 11:00am. ALA is offering ‘Creating Early Literacy Programs: Connecting with Early Childhood Development’ as an asynchronous eCourse from February 26 to March 25, 2018. Mango Languages Orientation/Refresher Webinar: Mango Languages is an e-resource available through all MHLS member libraries. Usage continues to rise – there wer over 11,500 uses by patrons in the past 12 months! In addition to over 70 languages that can be learned through Mango, there are English Language Learning courses in more than 17 languages. MHLS, working with L&S Energy Services, has developed a strategy to assist member libraries in making their buildings more energy efficient. L&S Energy, an approved New York State Energy & Research Development Authority (NYSERDA) vendor, is coordinating a Pilot Program that provides a simple entry point for MHLS members into NYSERDA’s FlexTech Program. Directors should respond to MHLS Action Memo #17-09 by January 31st to participate.
