Committee Charge: The charge to the Central Library/Collection Development Advisory Committee is to oversee Central Reference services and to ensure that system-wide collections & resources are comprehensive & responsive to patron needs. Activities include:
- Review and recommend approval of Central Library State Aid application & budget consistent with State guidelines
- Develop the Central Library Service Plan
- Review and recommend measures that enhance system-wide collection development & resource sharing as relates to the Committee charge
(e.g. Guidelines for OverDrive Collection Developed with Central Library Service Aid Funds – approved February 2023 ; Guidelines for OverDrive Collections Developed with Advantage Plus -Accounts – approved April 2020; Final Report of the Ad Hoc OverDrive Committee – approved 2022) - Examine system-wide holdings & material needs
- Evaluate and recommend electronic resources
- Review and recommend measures that enhance the delivery of reference services system-wide
