Deleting Individual Item Records

To delete an item record:

    1. In Sierra, open the record tab for the item that you want to delete.
    2. In the file menu, select Delete Item Record.
    3. A prompt will appear to confirm deletion. Select “Yes”.

Scan/Delete Items

To scan items and delete the associated item records:

    1. Select Delete Records from the Sierra Function list.
    2. In the top toolbar, select the Scan/Delete button with the trash can icon. The Scan/Delete Item panel will open.
    3. Scan the item’s barcode. The scanned item appears in the “Scan/Delete Items” list.

Batch Delete items

To have MHLS staff perform batch deletion of your items:

    1. Retrieve records into a review file using create list. 
    2. Contact tech support and provide the review file number, name, and number of records in the review file. 
    3. MHLS Staff will complete the batch deletion of these items.
