This is a post-graduate level course for those library directors/staff enrolled in the Palmer School of Library and Information Science at Long Island University working towards an Advanced Certificate in Public Library Administration.

This session is the second session of the create list beginner lab series.  If you missed the first session, you might want to review the “Getting started” topics in Lesson 1, of the first session, which can be found with the entire first course (lessons 1&2) at https://kb.midhudson.org/create-list-lab-series-beginner/ .  In this session we will build skills by creating more basic searches. In this session we will focus on weeding searches and lost items. We will use the first half of the hour for reviewing the work and the last half of the hour is dedicated to YOU!  Bring your questions, and your uses for create list to discuss with the group. Shared ideas are the best ideas! The goal is to use create lists and also to see the practical uses where it is applied.

At this session, representatives from the New York Library Association (NYLA) will review “social media training” (primary focus on Twitter). This session will be led by Christina Romeo, NYLA’s Communications & Marketing Manager. This session will also be recorded and posted on the LAD22 subpage for those that cannot attend.
