Clean Up of Catalog Scheduled

On March 30th the MHLS cataloging department will suppress all items that have a status of ‘Lost & Paid’, ‘Discard’ or ‘Claims returned’, which have not been updated for 3 months. The items will not be deleted. Changing the annual report code to “n – suppress”, simply keeps them from displaying in the public catalog. This action was approved by the DA in June of 2015.

DA Workshop Rescheduled

The March 7th DA workshop has been postponed to Friday, March 22nd. This will be combined with the opportunity for a short business meeting directly before the workshop. The whole event will still run from 10:00am-12:00pm. The workshop topic, chosen by the System Services Advisory Committee will be The Director-Board Relationship and will be presented by MHLS Executive Director (and author of both the NYS handbooks for Directors and Trustees!), Rebekkah Smith Aldrich. Annual Report Reviews In Progress

Thank you to all member libraries for completing the Annual Report!

The Mid-Hudson Library System (MHLS) will be reviewing all of your reports over the next week for errors that might trigger alerts at the State level, and reaching out to library directors to make any necessary updates. Your timely response to these updates is much appreciated, and helps MHLS move the reports to the state and secure the funding tied to this reporting more quickly.
