Open Meetings Law Virtual Training

The Open Meetings Law Virtual Training hosted by the New York State Library (NYSL) on Friday, September 16th has been captioned and can now be viewed on the NYSL Recent Webinars page. The slides for this training are also available for viewing and download on the Open Government NY website.

Presented by Kristin O’Neill, Assistant Director, New York State Committee on Open Government, this session provided an opportunity for attendees to learn more about a public body’s responsibilities in relation to the Open Meetings Law, particularly regarding several recent statutory amendments. The session focused in part on recent changes to the ability of a public body to meet through the use of videoconferencing.
