The Board of the Mid-Hudson Library System met on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 and:
• Received a report on the status of advocacy to combat the proposed cuts to library aid and construction aid in the state budget;
• Approved the priorities for funding within the State Aid for Library Construction Program;
• Recognized MHLS Executive Director, Rebekkah Smith Aldrich, for being named the 2023 OCLC Distinguished Speaker, and
• Authenticated the MHLS Annual Report to the State
Directly after the board meeting the annual orientation for new system trustees was held. The content of the orientation covered board operations, key financial oversight documents and processes, and operational relationships.
The next meeting of the Mid-Hudson Library System Board of Trustees is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17th at the Pleasant Valley Free Library. All board documents are viewable at
