The Northeast Summit for Climate Adaptation for Library Facilities invites you to join in as we shift focus to the suitability of the site, as it profoundly affects the design, resilience, and user experience of a resulting library project.
Speakers and topic discussions will include:
- Kristen Uitto, Architect – General discussion that includes potential issues
- Jamestown Philomenian Library (RI) – Navigation of archaeological concerns during a library expansion
- Johnson Public Library (VT) – Creative use of grant funding to implement an innovative, community-engaged response to repeated flooding of the library (resulting in a dramatic but celebratory middle-of-the-night relocation of the library building!)
While the webinar features larger projects, the information presented can be scalable, keeping the core management of communication, planning, design, and implementation of projects in mind. For those unable to attend live, this webinar will be recorded and made available on the Northeast Summit for Climate Adaptation for Library Facilities LibGuide.
