The election of MHLS trustees will be an item of business at the Mid-Hudson Library System’s (MHLS) Annual Membership Meeting, Friday, October 23, 2026. MHLS is governed by a fifteen-member board, three trustees from each of the five counties served.
In this election cycle there are three vacancies, one in each of the following counties: Greene, Putnam, and Ulster counties. Each candidate will be elected for a five-year term to begin January 1, 2027.
Member library directors and board presidents have been notified of this call for nominees and provided with the description of the role along with our ask for help to diversify our board to best represent the demographics of our service area. Suggestions for nominees should be provided to the county library association representative listed below:
