Sierra Upgrade Complete!

New features in the Sierra 4.2 release include the ability for staff to place new title-level holds using information from a cancelled hold, and insert that hold either at the end of the hold queue or in order by the original hold’s placed date; an option command link to allow libraries to publish a privacy policy in their WebPAC screens; adding an option to select a default Create Lists view so that each user can set their own default and more!

Mini-Grant Deadline: August 11

MHLS Outreach Mini Grant Program 2017: Applications due August 11: NYS Outreach Categorical Aid funds, received from the NYS Library Division of Library Development, will be used to fund mini-grants of up to $2,000 per member library to develop programs and services to attract and connect to outreach target populations and form relevant community partnerships at the local level. MHLS Annual Meeting

The 56th Annual Membership Meeting of the Mid-Hudson Library System was held on October 16th at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. Attending the meeting were 112 library directors, trustees, staff members and special guests. Our theme this year was “Libraries Build Sustainable Communities.”
