New Executive Director

The Mid-Hudson Library System (MHLS) Board of Trustees has appointed Rebekkah Smith Aldrich as the new MHLS Executive Director. Rebekkah has worked for MHLS for over twenty years in a variety of roles, most recently as the Coordinator for Library Sustainability. Over the course of her career she has demonstrated her ability as a future focused library leader dedicated to helping communities thrive through public library service. 2018 Battle of the Books

Celebrating its fourteenth year the Mid-Hudson Battle of the Books program brings together kids in grades 6th through 12th to display their knowledge through a literary trivia contest.

Twenty five member libraries have spent the summer working with teams of middle and high school students to prepare them for the end of program regional competitions.
